Jerry Saltz, Art Critic New York Magazine

Yesterday I spoke with Jerry Saltz of New York Magazine for 15 min at the New Museum, we talked about the George Condo show and I liked his ideas, they were similar to my own.  I hope he writes about it, though he said he probably would not get the chance to.  He started out as a guard at a museum himself.  So did Will Ryman and Brice Marden so, mythology.  Jerry was really nice, reminded me of Chris Newman, the old New York, a respectable thinking breed with kindness and internal logic whirling around with the flare of their craft.
Spoke with Joey after the artist talk between Condo and David Means, Joey had the same thoughts as Jerry and I in his own words, its a club.
