A series of doors
titled 'for cereal'
serial vs real
people walk through a set of doors that have projected environments the video of each piece is picked up by a live feed camera and all the images are colaged on the final door that is the only door visible to the audience, the images projected on the door fit together in the final 'room' where all the spaces collide and all the people interact together in a kind of musical/physical layering of improved interactions to make a single image, moving, invented by the participants, inside the static predetermined rooms. The way that a door can be given soooo many meanings, it is the beginning and the end of an environment, therefor a situation. If there is some direction written above the door for how to move through to the next room. there will be a green light above the door to give the okay that the next room is open. Oh I like this. There are different rooms. Once you choose to enter are you allowed to exit or are you dependent on the timing of the other people, total strangers enforce a time environment, you don't know which room you might get stuck in or for how long. Is it torture or play? To what degree do you pace yourself knowing that you are guiding other people? What kind of a person are you when presented with that responsible, do you rebel? Are you an asshole? hum. reminds me of nicks tunnel he built at bard where you crawled along different environments, but this one goes so much further. I would like to take the theater into the realm of sculpture, or action and inclusion of the audience in a way that has challenge and meaning more than the party vibe that really urks me of bourgeois big bamboo ify.
